Blossoming Gifts Autumn Woodland Bouquet

Flowers feature quite frequently on this blog, as I like to have fresh flowers on my table, and love when flower delivery companies bring out new collections with the seasons. It seems like the seasons have changed in the space of a week, as I clear away last week’s sunflowers – the last blooms of summer – to make way for Blossoming Gift’s Autumn bouquet, called ‘Woodland’.

Blossoming Gifts is a new-to-me online florist that sends flowers by post, and their new range of autumn bouquets is just gorgeous. I choose ‘Woodland’, as I thought it sounded both cheery and autumnal, with the bright oranges and twiggy stems:

And it came with free chocolates, never a bad thing (though I have to say that at 50g these were a little on the small size for my liking 😉

But the flowers did in no way disappoint – they are absolutely gorgeous. I posted a picture on Instagram the day I first arranged them, noting that I liked how the twiggy stems echoed the lines in the Barbara Hepworth print hanging behind them.

I’m enjoying the bouquet more and more, as the lilies open and release their wonderful scent mixing with that of the roses. Now I’m no longer sad that the summer blooms have gone, as autumn flowers have their own special charms.
