If I’m honest, it is not always a case of squealing with joy when I get a new product to test or review here on Molly and the Princess. Of course I am always eager to try new things, and would not agree to review anything if I wasn’t genuinely interested in trying it, but sometimes there is just more eagerness than others.

I did squeal with joy when I was asked would I like to review some bath and shower therapies from Bodhi [Edit: Now Bodhi & Birch]. I had already been on the Bodhi website and looked at the seven luxury beauty therapies, had imagined the scents from their wonderfully evocative descriptions, and already knew which ones I would like to try: Pep Noir Energising Bath & Shower Therapy and Galangal Spice Vitalising Bath & Shower Therapy.

Now my sister has told me that I am too complimentary in my reviews, and suggested that if I let Mr G’s voice be heard a bit more, my readers might get a more balanced view of the products – but sorry sis, these therapies are unisex and Mr G loved them as much as me, if not more so. He has been using only Galangal Spice in his showers for the past two weeks and here’s what he had to say …

It produces a good lather, which takes a while to wash off, and my skin feels really soft and moisturised afterwards.

[yes, he really did say that, the big girl’s blouse]

He also likes the scent, which he described as being ‘not too feminine’ 🙂

My favourite of the two scents is Pep Noir, with top notes of Bergamot, heart notes of Black Pepper, White Thyme, Ginger, Coriander and Cinnamon, with base notes of Frankincense, Patchouli and Oakmoss. The scent really lingers in the house, but for some reason, it does not seem to linger on the skin (after a bath at least). I would love it if Bodhi made a body lotion scented with Pep Noir (and a room spray) – I REALLY like this scent!

Once again sis, sorry for the effusiveness, but there is nothing bad I can say about Bodhi. Ethically sourced ingredients, no sulphates or parabens, a high proportion of essential oils – and – beautifully packaged (see complimentary gift box, photo above), what’s not to love?

Bodhi are also currently offering 20% off your first order, and free standard delivery and gift wrap with orders over £45. Either (or both) of the two therapies I tried would make a great Father’s Day present – your dad could be as soft and moisturised as Mr G!

Thank you Bodhi for sending me the products to review. Opinions are my own (and Mr G’s).
