Home Furnishing Sale Picks – Cushions, Lamps & Vases

There is still time to pick up some fabulous home furnishing bargains in the January sales, so I thought I’d show you what I’ve been buying, and a few items still on my wish list.

After last week’s Pantone Colour of the Year 2016 interior challenge, in which I introduced some blue and pink into my otherwise white bedroom, I have been seduced by the colour pink. This is so not me, I am not a pink girly person at all, so I don’t know what got into me, but I snapped up two of these pink velvet cushion covers in the H&M Home sale reduced from £12.99 only £5 each (and they are now down to £4!).

While I was shopping on the H&M site, I couldn’t resist another printed cotton cushion cover (that was not in the sale, but only £7.99, and here they all snuggling up together on my bed.

In case the pink phase does not last, I also bought these Triangle Grey Cushions from Living by Christiane Lemieux at House of Fraser. There is definitely a Wiener Werkstätte aesthetic about much of this range and so I have been coveting these since they were full price of £40 each, then £20, then £16, and now £11.20. (But be warned, in store they are still £20 – the lowest price is only online)

Moving away from cushions and swiftly on to lighting, well what can I say but it is all Karen from makingspaces.net’s fault! She introduced , an brass and black metal task lamp from BHS a while back, and its beauty alongside the fact that my brother is called Ned had made me fall hook, line and sinker for it. She then had the nerve to tempt me even more with , an articulated floor lamp that has so much personality it looks like it could be the star character in an animated film. If that was not torture enough, Karen also mentioned Topcashback, which I had not heard of before, and before I knew it, I was pressing buy on both Ned (the floor lamp version) and Artie for something silly like £90-something for the two (minus £4.95 cashback).

I’m delaying the gratification by not having opened Artie yet, but here is Ned, standing tall and proud, in what may or may not be his final location.

Artie is destined for my home office space, whenever I get that organised, so I expect you will see him on here in due course. Neither Ned nor Artie are still in the BHS sale, but there are still plenty of lighting bargains to be had (and some pretty cool new ranges too).

That is the extent of my sale shopping, but while browsing in House of Fraser I spied these lovely vases by Willow and Grey that I may just have to go back for:

I hope you like my sale buys. What home furnishing bargains have you been tempted by? And the million dollar question: can you ever have too many cushions? (I’m thinking I may have just crossed that line!)

This is NOT a sponsored post, I’m just sharing my faves 🙂 and linking up with:
