I’m Dreaming of a White Bedroom
I’m afraid I am not very adventurous in the bedroom – when it comes to colour that is! For bedding, adapting Henry Ford’s famous dictum, I say ‘Give me any colour as long as it’s white’. My bedroom is a place of sanctuary, and nothing signals this more than fresh crisp white bedding.
White does not have to be boring though, and here is where I share with you my fabulous new bedding from Christy – a range called Chantilly (White). This is the crème de la crème of white bedding – whiter than white, beautiful all-over embroidery and elegant ladder stitch detailing. I was infatuated the minute I spotted it on the Christy website. Just look!:
My infatuation turned into true love the minute I unpackaged the bedding and started to dress my bed. The quality is just outstanding, with perfect stitching not just on the embroidery but also on the hems and seams. And the cotton itself feels so luxurious. I know I can be a bit obsessive about bedding, but this surpasses any I’ve previously owned. It is the stuff of dreams!
I went all out and layered up my bed with square pillows, followed by pillows in regular pillowcases (with an embroidery panel on the edge), then pillows in Oxford pillowcases (following this great ). Then a flat sheet with an embroidered edge, topped with the all-over embroidered duvet cover. And then I dived in!
A week later and I am still loving it and looking forward to climbing into bed every night. Because of the all-over embroidery, it does not look creased in use like a plain cover would, and the cotton has also kept its crispness, so its like being in a hotel every night. Bliss.
I can see this set washing well and lasting for many many years (a lifetime?) and so I think its worth investing in the best. But I have good news for you, the Chantilly (White) range now has 30% off on the Christy website, so it’s an investment and a savvy buy in one!
Right now my bed is calling me, and I can’t wait to slip between those sheets, and dream …
Night night all x
Thanks to Christy for gifting me this bedlinen to review. All opinions are my own and honest.

I am planning an all-white bedroom makeover this year. Like you, I love the crispness and freshness of white bedding, and accessorising the look with colour is a bonus. I really love your room. #HomeEtc
Thank you Tania. I look forward to seeing your makeover – I think an all-white bedroom is so serene and fresh. Thanks for your comment x

Yep — I’m with you. I’ve never been a fan of patterned/coloured bedlinen either. Although… I bucked the trend recently and went for ‘pale grey’ pillow cases, to go *with the white duvet and white pillow cases!! Looks very nice and I was really happy with a little bit of colour!! #HomeEtc

These are such beautiful bedlinen, I am quite envious.
Myself I would love white bedding but I am just too messy to risk it xxx
Thanks Kara! I did suggest a no coffee/breakfast in bed ban, but it hasn’t been approved! But so far so good – no spillages 😉

This is absolutely gorgeous. I’d love something like this but I can imagine our dogs would jump straight on it with huge muddy feet!
Ah yes, I think I would have to rethink my bedding ideas if I had dogs 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Louisa.

Oh I’m such a sucker for crisp white bedding and this is just beautiful! Love the subtle detail, so pretty! xx
Thanks Kimberley, glad you approve. I’m loving it, and especially now the sun is streaming in in the day (sadly not when I took these photos) it really highlights the detail x

I always have white bedding, there’s nothing better, especially when it’s crisp and clean and feels like a hotel bed x
A girl after my own heart 🙂 x

I love white bed linen, feels so luxurious and always reminds me of staying in a hotel. This bedding looks particularly fancy though. I love the subtle pattern.
Thanks Stacey, it is pretty special alright. I do feel like I’m staying in a hotel (and then I wake up and remember I have to make my own breakfast 🙂
Looks very cosy. I love white for the bedroom too.
Thank you Geraldine. Having so many pillows makes it very snug indeed, lovely for sitting up in bed reading x

White bedlinen is a classic for a reason – so chic & elegant. Love the addition of the embroidery details, adds an extra element of glamour to the overall look 🙂
Thanks Kate, I love the detail too, makes it feel extra special.

I adore white bedlinen. It’s so chic and simple looking- you can add colour to it if you need. Love the detailing on these set.
Thanks Maxine. I’ve since added a throw for some colour and texture, but no more cushions, my double bed just isn’t big enough, need to leave room for little me! 🙂

Oh I always end up going back to white bedding after flirtations with colour. Looks very cosy!
he he, as Kate said above, there is a reason why white is a classic 🙂 I’ve whittled down my bedding sets to four white and two coloured now I think that’s a ratio I am happy with – do need colour sometimes just for a change, but in spring and summer, it’s white all the way 🙂

Oh Molly, I was really giggling to myself when I started the sentence “a week later” – I thought you were going to say “A week later and I’m still in bed” 🙂 I must admit that white has taken a while to grow on me but I do now appreciate its merits and this bedding does look stunning and luxurious. Previously we’d always just gone for whatever bedding we fancied and the more colourful the better but I’m sure once we decide on bedroom decor then the bedding will need to match. Such a pretty delicate pattern – and yes, all about layering those pillows and cushions! X #HomeEtc
hehe Lins, I wish I was still in bed a week later (though I have perhaps been lingering a bit too long of a weekend 😉

Wow it look gorgeous so fresh and clean I love it, I love white but have never gone for white bedding as I have 2 messy boys but now they are older and not jumping on the bed with snacks and muddy boots (Yes it has happened grr) I might just take the plunge x
I am safe with white as no boys here (well, apart from a boyfriend, but he knows that if he spills coffee on my white bedding he’d be a dead man!). I’m not sure I’d risk it with sons, I don’t think you are ever free of mud till they move out 😉
