Since Pantone announced its Colour of the Year 2016, Rose Quartz has really taken hold of the homeware buyers’ imaginations, much more so than its partner in crime, Blue Serenity (I’m expecting that to hit big in the summer). I’ve definitely been thinking pink, and this week I’ve been seeking out little touches of it to brighten up the kitchen and dining room for Easter.

So here are my top pink homeware picks from the High Street. First up blush pink (and then, in case you like your pink to pack more of a punch, some hot pink items to tickle your fancy will follow).

1. Sophie Conran for Portmeirion at TKMaxx; 2. , £4.00; 3. Marks and Spencer Core Pink Mug, £2.80 (normally £3.50); 4. Waitrose Pink Grapefruit Double Wick Votive, £4.00

TKMaxx is always my first stop for homewares, and they have in a fine selection of Sophie Conran for Portmeirion tablewares (1.) at the moment, at bargain prices. Then I spotted this gorgeous nibble bowl (2.) on the shelves of Waitrose – the photo does not do it justice, as you need to see from above to appreciate the patterning of the pink glass-like glaze, it looks very special for a bowl costing under a fiver (and there is a smaller one for £3.50). Waitrose also have a fab selection of pink grapefruit candles – a great fresh scent for a kitchen or dining room – and I especially like this one with a double wick in a geometric-patterned ceramic cup (4.). Marks and Spencer have gone all out on the blush pink, combining it with a soft grey in many of their table linens, and with cream for a collection of tableware called Core. This mug (3.) from the collection is currently on offer for only £2.80. Bargain blush!

If blush is a bit bleurgh for you and you want to turn up the heat on the pink, then opt for fuchsia pink with these pieces:

5. Zara Home Bamboo Bowl, £7.99; 6. Joules Dorrit Double Oven Glove, £14.95; 7. H&M Home Grapefruit Print Teatowel, £2.99; 8. Zara Home Fuchsia Egg Cup, £3.99

With a softer pink taking the spotlight, you’ll have to look a bit harder for hot pink items, but they are there, and Zara Home is the prime location. This Bamboo Bowl (1.) with its Schiaparelli pink interior certainly packs a punch. Joules can always be counted on for an injection of hot pink into homewares, and this double oven glove (6.) will liven up any kitchen, as will this bold grapefruit-patterned tea towel from H&M (7.). Back to Zara for the final item, this very cute pink eggcup (8.) – perfect for your boiled egg and soldiers on Easter morning!

Are you tempted to go pink this Easter? And which do you prefer, blush pink or hot pink? Let me know in the comments below, I’d love to hear!
