Readers, I have a new favourite boutique for you to check out – and not only that, but a fabulous discount code for you too! Read on …
Kiki’s Boutique
Kiki’s Boutique has two gorgeous shops in Christchurch and Lymington, but also sell through their online store, which is brimming with all kinds of loveliness – from girly dresses to pretty jewellery to Father’s Day gifts. Everything is carefully chosen and sent beautifully packaged – I challenge you not to find at least one item you will love!
My favourite is the Elsa Dress by Emily and Fin. This vintage-style dress comes in a variety of patterns, and is fully lined – I chose the cream and black spotty version.
I was thinking this dress would be lovely for summer, but as it still seems to be winter here (like the garden of Oscar Wilde’s Selfish Giant) I have had to dig out the black tights and cardy. But it will be lovely without when the sun finally comes back. Definitely an outdoor dress, otherwise I clash with my sofa!
Do pop over to Kiki’s to see this dress in its other patterns, and all the other lovely Emily and Fin dresses. There is also an interview with designer Emily in Kiki’s Diary.
Exclusive 15% Discount Code

Love it!
Thanks Alison! x
I don’t believe it! I was in there last Saturday! My Granny has a holiday home is Southbourne and Christchurch is my favourite place to go for a potter round the shops including Kiki’s! They had an amazing polka dot 50’s dress that came with a tule net underskirt I wanted it! Bit much for doing the pre school run though! Love you polka find!
What a coincidence! I’m sure you’d look fab doing the pre-school run in the polka dot dress with net underskirt 🙂 – with 15% off – you should go for it!
I LOVE IT! Absolutely stunning!
Thank you! I think you’d love ALL the dresses on the site, some real beauties x
Nice dress! And I like the way it is matched with the black cardigan. 🙂
awh thank you!

Oh it’s gorgeous! Love the style, and that’s it’s lined, makes it great value for money! I don’t usually like light coloured dresses with opaque tights, but this looks great, really suits you!
M, I am in love with your sofa. Is it an original recovered or a new retro styled? It’s exactly what I am looking for, but I need leather on it (easier to keep clean with the girls) yours is a fab fabric!
You look as gorgeous as ever!
Thanks for the lovely comment A. The sofa isn’t an original – it’s a new retro-styled one from The Sofa Workshop (see pics of the full suite here: http://bit.ly/N0pkjm). Laura Ashely does a similar one at the moment (called the Colinton) but not in leather as far as I can see. The only trouble with these 50s-style sofas (both original and retro) is that they are quite compact/neat – and you Cottinghams are so tall!

I think the combo of needing a largish sized one and in leather is tricky. This is the one I really love at JL http://www.johnlewis.com/75582/Product.aspx
But prefer your legs 😉
I need a large sofa and a snuggle chair. I also would like cream (I’m so demanding) as I’m a bit fed up of all the dark colours in my living room! Oh and a small lottery win 😉
That JL one is nice (can’t wait till the Exeter store opens in October) and would fit your family better than my one would. I need a lottery win too – and I don’t do it, so that might be tricky!

This is beautiful and suits you so well. I love how you’ve accessorized with dark tights and light shoes. And I second the admiration of your sofa!
Thanks Lakota! x
