Peony Paradise
with Bloom&Wild

MOLLY
20 June 2016
The short-lived, but spectacular, peony season is about to end, but before it does, I thought I’d share with you some images of the beautiful peony bouquets I’ve been enjoying from Bloom&Wild, as part of their Wildflower Collective.
Bloom&Wild are an unusual flower company in that they deliver their hand-picked flowers in cardboard packaging that fits through your letterbox. It’s incredible, and I had to see it myself to believe that such large bouquets could come in such small parcels. But once they are unnetted and placed in water, they come alive. Un-netting the peonies is an experience to behold, as the tightly packed blossoms bloom before your very eyes.

“We’re celebrating the height of the peony season by pairing the ruffled petals of these irresistible Sarah Bernhardt peonies with creamy athena roses and the subtle pink tones of la belle roses. Wisps of green bell and bupleurum complement the soft hues with a hint of lime green.”
BLOOM&WILD – The Belle

During peony season, Bloom&Wild offered three different peony bouquets – The Belle, The Eloise, and The Lottie.
THE BELLE — The Belle mixes Sarah Bernhardt peonies (I love that there is a peony named Sarah Bernhardt!) with subtly coloured cream and pink roses. They say it’s their most luxurious bouquet, and I agree. It has a very romantic and calming feel to it, and so I placed mine in the bedroom.

“The Eloise, a gorgeous mix of coral peonies, craspedia, solidago and bupleurum”
BLOOM&WILD – The Eloise

THE ELOISE — The Eloise is an altogether showier affair, with shocking pink peonies offset against the lime green of the bupleurum and green bell, with shocks of mustard yellow billy balls (craspedia) and solidago. Over time, the intensity of the peonies fade to a creamy coral pink, and the petals themselves make a beautiful display in a bowl after the flowers start to fall apart.
THE LOTTIE — I’ve not received the Lottie, so I do not have any photographs, but it sounds simply perfect, an all-peony bouquet.
That’s right, the season is close to the end – in fact you only have one week left to order a peony bouquet from Bloom&Wild, so head over there pronto! And enjoy …
This post is the first trial of a new blog post template for me – would love to hear what you think of it in the comments below (you’ll need to scroll right down, they’re there somewhere)!
“We’ve kept it simple with The Lottie, by pairing pink Sarah Bernhardt peonies with a white Duchess variety for a bouquet that celebrates the beauty of these stunning blooms for their last few weeks of their oh-so-short season.”
BLOOM&WILD – The Lottie

What a stunningly beautiful post! Peonies have always been my favourite and these are gorgeous – lovely pictures! As I was reading I was also admiring the layout – I think it’s great for this type of very visual post 🙂 x
Thank you so much Philippa. The peonies are the star of the show, but I’m glad you think I’ve done them justice! x

Peonies are my favourite flower and I’m amazed they got through the letterbox. I like the layout too 🙂 #homeetc
Thanks Stephanie! It’s quite amazing but each flower head is individually netted and you just pull off the nets and they open up straight away, very clever.

Looks fantastic and very good on mobile. Lovely large text makes it so much easier to read and makes it feel less like hard work scrolling through loads of teeny weeny text or trying to enlarge it. Good choice if you decide to keep it.
Thank you Stacey – I hadn’t looked on mobile, glad it reads well on there 🙂 Thanks for popping by and commenting, much appreciated x

Want. Need. LOVE!!! Aaah I’m a glutton for a lovely bouquet…
When we lived in Marlow we had a couple of amazing florists and I’d treat myself regularly. These days, since we moved to a little village, I’m lucky if I manage to buy a bunch from Aldi!! I need a yearly subscription to Bloom and Wild!! 🙂 What a beautiful post Molly — your blog is looking GORGEOUS!! 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up with us! 🙂 Caro xx #HomeEtc

Nowt wrong with Aldi blooms – I buy myself a bunch there at least once a week as it’s my closest supermarket – but yes, a Bloom&Wild subscription is a real treat! And thanks for the blog compliments, I’m getting there! xx
Amazing photos! Love every image! I love peonies!
Thanks Abigail 🙂

I so miss the peony plants I had to leave behind in our last garden, these are absolutely stunning and the new format works really well!
Thanks Tiffany! You must have been sad to leave your peony plants behind – I’ve no garden so having bouquets is a must!

I just treated myself to some pink peonies for my desk/dining area. I love them – so pretty and soft.
They will look fab in your lovely dining area against the grey, gorgeous.
You well know how much I love Peonies. I shall be on the hunt for some later this week ready for July 1st! Lovely photos Molly 🙂 x
Thanks Karen. I got some more peonies in Aldi’s bargain bucket the other evening, cheap as chips! (not bad too – there’s a pic on my Instagram) xx

Love the new format Molly. Beautiful images too xx
Thanks very much Carole 🙂 x
The Eloise is gorgeous. I love Billy buttons too. Now I regret not getting the Eloise as I was going to be away that week. The Bloom and Wild concept is so clever. x
That’s a shame you missed the Eloise. Definitely such a good concept, I love how they introduce new bouquets so regularly as flowers come in and out of season.

I’m a peony fan too and always love it when they come out to flower in our garden. Your bouquet looks stunning, but I’m amazed that something that looks that good has arrived through your letterbox! Clearly they’ve mastered the concept of flowers by post to a tee.

Lucky you Rachel to have peonies in your garden. Yes it is pretty unbelievable that these come in a flat box less around an inch deep. It’s great because you know you can send someone a lovely bouquet without worrying if they are going to be in to receive or not, as they will have fitted through the letterbox. Thanks for stopping by x

So so beautiful, I love bloom & wild, looks like a need to get some peonies and enjoy them before they go out of season! Beautiful photos x
Thanks Cate. You do! They will only be around for another couple of weeks, if that – but looks like you are busy moving, best of luck with that! x

Those Peonies are just stunning, I’m was hoping to plant some in our garden but I think we’ve missed the boat this year. I might have to just get some from Bloom & Wild instead 🙂
They’re lovely aren’t they. You should definitely plant some in your garden in the autumn for next year’s blooms, but in the meantime, Bloom& Wild absolutely 🙂
