Before summer arrives in all its glory, here is a little look at what Spring had to offer in Devon.
The beauty of Devon comes in many forms, sometimes it is raw and bleak when on Dartmoor; or mystical and otherworldy in our ancient forests, and sometimes plain knock-me-down-with-a-feather stunning, as it is in bluebell season. Here are some photos I’ve taken in recent weeks:
Top: Bluebells at Blackberry Camp
Middle Left: Grimspound, Dartmoor; Middle Right: Magnolia at Dartington Hall
Bottom Left: The River Dart, nr Totnes; Bottom Right: Deer on the Budleigh to Exmouth old railway line
These photos were taken for articles I have written about Devon. If you’d like to read them, head to Classic Cottages: Notes and Stories, for these and other tales and adventures from the South West.
Beautiful pictures Molly. Were you on the train when you took the deer one? If not you were really close. x
Thanks Liz. No, not on the train, it’s an old disused railway line that is now a cycle/walking path, the deer was in a field next to it, and I just zoomed in with the camera 😉
