Since getting a VQ Radio (a Retro Mini) last year, I’ve been a total convert to radio-listening, and cannot imagine my days without now. The first thing I do when I get in from work is to turn on the radio – I’m usually cooking my dinner to The Archers, and doing my Sunday evening ironing to the Classic FM chart (and in between, lots of different stations and programmes). And now the VQ radio family (and mine) is growing, with the addition of the Hepburn MkII:
This is one helluva beautiful radio, it’s just plain gorgeous. It comes in 11 colours, and to fit in with the current obsession with tropical prints and jungle-inspired interiors, I chose the emerald green:
The finish is so tactile, from the fine leatherette finish to the shiny smooth metal buttons and knobs, and it’s satisfyingly weighty (not too heavy that you don’t want to carry it about, but not too light that it feels cheap). It looks beautiful in any setting, and this beauty is matched by its functionality.
The Hepburn MkII comes with DAB, DAB+ and FM radio reception, with 10 presets available, and Bluetooth connectivity for streaming your own music library. With two ultra-wide speakers the sound is great, and it also has a USB charging port – handy!

I wake up listening to Chris Evans and then throughout the day dip into classic fm and radio 4 for women’s hour, Saturday live and desert island discs. The medium of radio is far superior in my opinion to television!

My local radio station Cool FM does the ‘Cool Years’ every Sunday and they play music from the 90s and early 2000s. I love something a bit more retro to take me back to my younger years.
Radio 3, as I can’t stand prattling DJs and adverts first thing in the morning.
I do like radio. I won’t name the stations I listen to as I believe all stations have a mainstream political driven agenda – especially the BBC. Twenty five years ago I listened to Radio 4 thinking it affirmed what a “clever chappy” I was – when in fact I was submitting myself to subtle brainwashing.

My favourite station is Absolute Rock but if I’m decorating or gardening then I have to listen to Gold as my Dad always had this station on and I feel I’m keeping his tradition alive.

I love capital in the car, I plug my iphone in and spotify when cooking many people finding me rocking out making jacket spuds, viking fm which is my local station is great at 10am as they have a top 10 at 10 where you have to guess the year, so many memories and songs you had forgotten about 🙂

I listen to a variety of stations on the radio…my local radio station: Radio Susy because my friend is a DJ on there, Capital FM, Kiss Fm and Heart! I do like a mixture! It really depends what they’re playing, as if a really irritating song comes on then I have to change over lol.
BBC6 Music is the only station I listen to ,what more could I want

the younger members of the household like listening to Kiss or Capital but i prefer a bit of talk sport or radio 2 myself 🙂
Traffic and local news on Signal 1. I also like radio 2 as they have a family comedy show which is hilarious on early afternoon

I’m a real mix, I love Radio 4’s comedy like Just a Minute at night before I go to sleep, Radio 5 Live for the news and Radio 1 for the tunes!

It depends on the situation. I like to listen to news, current affairs and quiz shows on Radio 4. On my way home on Fridays I always listen to Serious Jockin’on Radio 2 as it gets me in the mood for the weekend.

I listen to a Magic, great retro, foot tapping tunes
I listen to charts and just general pop music, but my OH prefers some of the talk shows and also sports on a Saturday.
